Inspection Responsibilities for Primary Permittees (2025) Certification
This FREE 1 Professional Development Hour (PDH) course is designed to educate Professional Engineers (P.E.), Professional Land Surveyors (PLS), Landscape Architects (LA), construction site operators, developers, and other stakeholders serving as Primary Permittees under the South Carolina NPDES Construction General Permit (CGP).
Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of their legal and environmental responsibilities during active construction, with a specific focus on inspection requirements and qualified inspector standards, with an overview of weekly Certified Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control Inspector (CEPSCI) stormwater / erosion control inspection requirements. Topics include the purpose and scope of the CGP, SWPPP development and maintenance, inspection frequency, corrective action timelines, and recordkeeping expectations.
By the end of the course, attendees will be equipped to ensure regulatory compliance, reduce environmental risk, and maintain documentation that satisfies SCDES audit standards.
